FCICA Regional Meeting Atlanta, GA - Friday, August 15, 2025

FCICA is hosting a regional event offering education and networking for commercial flooring contractors in Atlanta, GA, hosted by DCO Commercial Floors.

Pre-registration is required. Registration is now open for this FREE event. 

Commercial flooring contractors are invited to meet in-person at DCO Commercial Floors on Friday, August 15 for a one-day event, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm ET.

The event will provide an opportunity for commercial flooring contractors to network, discuss industry topics, learn from one another and hear how they can leverage FCICA member benefits to advance training, certification and business development.

Education Session - Cradle to Grave Sales to a Project Team-Based Selling Structure, a DCO Story 

Presented by Jesse Tranel, CIM, President, DCO Commercial Floors

Presenter, Jesse Tranel, CIM, DCO President, will share a sales management restructuring transition success story. He'll present how he oversaw the DCO sales team transition from the traditional ‘cradle to grave’ sales representative to a project team-based organizational approach. He'll review what worked, what didn’t and how his organizational revision story can help flooring professionals in their business, whether a small or large company.

Education Session - End User Operations

Presented by Mark Hayes, CIM, Operations Manager, DCO Commercial Floors

With the project end user in mind, Mark Hayes will present DCO's successful approach, process and team-based methodology to ensure a successful installation and a satisfied customer. Mark will review the different customers the company serves and outline the project execution process starting from when then the job is awarded. He'll include several examples of how the DCO team effectively addressed and ultimately successfully resolved challenging situations.

Presented by Heath Baxter, Territory Business Manager, Fishman Flooring Solutions and Michael Norman, Sales Professional, ARDEX Americas


Michael Norman and Heath Baxter will present on the need and processes of proper substrate preparations - focusing on identifying variables surrounding a quality floor installation. They will discuss how to deal with and identify potential bond breakers, substrate porosity and excessive moisture (RH) in concrete, as well as how to match the correct and most cost-effective prep materials for the substrate, environment and finish flooring choices.

The Regional Meeting Atlanta is the 9th such meeting FCICA has held. Previous regional meetings were held in Florence, AL (December 2024); Carlstadt, NJ (April 2024); Stockton, CA (February 2024) ;Baltimore, MD (October 2023); Suwanee, GA (August 2023); Wayland, MI (November 2022); Baltimore, MD (May 2022); and Atlanta, GA (April 2021). The meetings are part of FCICA’s regional outreach efforts to engage current members and introduce the association to nonmembers.
