Commercial Flooring Site Superintendent


DCO Commercial Floors is hiring full time and contract superintendents.


The role of the job-site superintendent is to be the main point-of-contact in the field. He or she is part of the commercial project management team, which includes the commercial sales associate, project manager, and contract administrator. As an integral member of the project management team, the job-site superintendent is expected to take ownership of the field tasks of the project(s) both on- and off-site, including material handling and logistics, quality control, payroll, scheduling/planning, paperwork, safety, and other tasks as warranted and assigned from project beginning all the way through final punch list completion and sign off. The job-site superintendent may be assigned one job or multiple jobs at a time, and might also function as a member of multiple commercial project management teams simultaneously. The job-site superintendent must be an excellent communicator; as he or she must communicate with onsite crews, the general contractor/customer and the office daily. The job-site superintendent must consistently demonstrate a “do whatever it takes” attitude and aptitude, and focus on getting the job done on time and within budget. Must pass a Background Check and be willing to take, and successfully pass, a Drug Screening Test.




Job Requirements




The Successful Candidate Will Possess the Following Minimum Qualifications:


1.  Prior Commercial Flooring or Commercial Construction Experience. 

2.  Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel and work on jobs in different states 

3.  Strong Organizational & Analytical Skills that provide the Ability to Solve Tactical Problems Quickly and Satisfactorily 

4.  Prior Experience Handling Multiple Projects, working with Multiple Crews, and Properly Prioritizing and Completing Projects “on-task” – “on-time” & “on budget” 

5.  Ability to read blueprints and specifications 

6.  Ability to Collaboratively Resolve Issues with Stakeholders 

7.  Intermediate Technological Skills 

8.  Valid Driver’s License 

9.  Successfully Pass a Background Check 

10.  High School Diploma or Equivalent
