Association Services, an association management company based in Michigan is looking for a dynamic Director of Education to work for its client, FCICA, the flooring contractors association. This part-time position reports directly to the Executive Vice President.

Position Overview for Director of Education:

• Direct and oversee all educational opportunities and resources
• Assist in developing the short and long term strategic direction for the association’s educational programs
• Manage and grow the Certified Installation Managers (CIM) program
• Promote and sell FCICA’s programs by identifying and executing promotional campaigns for outreach of programs to a wide audience
• Support Executive Vice President and key association leadership in preparing talking points, speeches, presentations and other materials as needed
• Prepare and deliver reports on association educational programs to leadership and membership
• Manage relationships with any educational-related speakers, vendors and consultants
• Maintain a consistent image in all educational events and activities
• Adopt rules and guidelines as set forth by the Education Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Board of Directors
• Participate as staff at national meetings - at least 2 per year

Qualifications:

• The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field
• Must possess a passion for educating and growing professionals in the flooring industry
• Ability to execute and motivate volunteers in a positive way
• Excellent leadership, organization, time management and interpersonal skills
• Professional and proactive work ethic
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to contribute in an individual and team role
• Capable leader, manager and coach working with diverse and dynamic board, team, member and partnership talent
• Entrepreneurial mindset, analytical and creative thinking
• Have a proven track record of successful development of educational program(s) on a local and/or national level
• Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel
• Commercial flooring knowledge is preferred
