DCO Commercial Floors Hosted FCICA’s First 3 Days to CIM Program in Two Years
The Flooring Contractors Association is excited to announce 29 newly named CIMs, 28 who took part in the 3 Days to CIM Atlanta training session.
FCICA held a 3 Days to CIM training session, the first in-person CIM training in 2 years.
FCICA member, DCO Commercial Floors, served as the event host and sponsor. The association is grateful for their generous support of the event and commitment to the CIM Program's validity as a highly-regarded industry designation.
The training was held at DCO's Lawrenceville location outside of Atlanta, GA Friday - Sunday, February 18 - 20, 2022. 28 member company employees earned their CIM designation after 3 days of intensive instruction and assessments over the long weekend. CIMs and program mentors, Don Styka, CIM, Tarkett, Mike Newberry, CIM and John West, CIM, F. L. Crane and Sons, led the training. The CIM Program enhances one's core skill set, experience and knowledge base, further enabling participants to successfully manage commercial flooring installation projects.
DCO’s leadership team was very supportive and helpful with the coordination of the training. DCO's facilities provided the space and technology equipment needed for the candidates to learn and concentrate, as well as network with one other. At the conclusion of the first day of training, DCO hosted a Friday evening happy hour where the CIM candidates had an opportunity to get to know each other.
FCICA will hold 2 additional 3 Days to CIM training sessions in 2022. If you are interested in participating or hosting one of these events at your facility, please contact Catherine Church, FCICA Executive Director.
