Christopher Capobianco is the Technical and Claims Coordinator for Spartan Surfaces. He has served on ASTM Committee F06 on resilient flooring since 1993 including 16 years chairing the task group for ASTM F710, Standard Practice for Preparing Concrete Floors to Receive Resilient Flooring, arguably the most widely quoted ASTM document in the floor covering industry. He also served for 12 years on the FCICA Board of Directors, including six years as FCICA chairman. His floor covering lineage goes back four generations, and his five-decade career has included time as an installer’s “helper, retail and wholesale salesperson, technical support specialist, writer, consultant, and educator. In 2019, the greater New York floor covers association presented him with the Francis J.P. McHale Scholarship Award, “In recognition and sincere appreciation of the unselfish and inspiring dedication, leadership and service generously given to the floor covering industry.”
