A fourth generation floor coverer, Christopher has worked since the 1970s in residential/commercial sales, technical/sales support, and journalism. He is a longtime member and past Chairman of FCICA and also ASTM committee F.06 on Resilient Floor Covering.  In 2019, the Greater NY Floor Coverers Association presented him their Francis JP McHale Scholarship Award, “In recognition and sincere appreciation of the unselfish and inspiring dedication, leadership and service generously given to the floor covering industry.”
