Bill Wiese, National Technical Manager, will present on how jobsite condition can cause failures or make for a positive installation of flooring products - and ultimately who's responsibility it is to verify that the conditions are correct for an installation to proceed. 

Presenter Bill Wiese, National Technical Manager for Base King, started in the flooring industry first as an installer, then as an independent contractor. He worked to become an expert, building a strong reputation within the industry, which resulted in a product development position for a national company overseas. Certified as a CFI Master Installer, Bill has been a mentor to those entering the industry. He started his industry teaching career at a local technical college. Later, he became a full-time Regional Installation Manager instructor, traveling throughout the US and Mexico training installers and sales forces on products and techniques. After more than 60 years in the industry, Bill retired from Mannington Mills. But due to the love for the work he does, retirement proved to be difficult. After just a few short months of retirement, he was hired as the Technical Manager for Base King.

Base King®, LLC was a vision made into reality by Dennis and Ann Schlisner. Base King®, LLC was founded in 2001 in Kennewick, Washington and was moved to Dalton, GA in 2003. Base King® was originally formed to manufacture carpet wall base with patented BindNSTIX® twin-track application system. This was the first peel and stick product of its kind on the market. With this new technology in hand, Dennis and his team began to experiment with the direct application of the adhesive to the back of commercial flooring materials in the warehouse. TurboSTIX™ and EnviroSTIX™ Adhesive Systems were soon developed. We were excited to share our innovative patented adhesive solutions with the industry. We are constantly researching and developing new innovative products to add to our product line.
