The Flooring Contractors Association is excited to announce 26 newly named CIMs took part in the 3 Days to CIM Charlotte training event hosted by Bonitz. 

FCICA contractor member, Bonitz, served as the event host and sponsor. The Association is grateful for their generous support of the event and commitment to the CIM Program's validity as a highly-regarded industry designation. 

The training was held at Bonitz's Concord location outside of Charlotte, Tuesday - Thursday, February 21 - 23, 2023. 26 member company employees earned their CIM designation after intensive instruction and assessments over 3 days. CIMs and program mentors, Don Styka, CIM, Tarkett and Mike Kelly, CIM, Synergy Flooring led the training. 

Bonitz's leadership team was very supportive and helpful with the coordination of the training. Bonitz's facilities provided the space and equipment needed for the candidates to learn and concentrate. At the conclusion of the first day of training, Bonitz hosted an evening happy hour where the participants had an opportunity to get to know each other and network.

The Certified Installation Manager (CIM) Program, the only certification program available for floor covering installation project managers, sets the industry standard for those involved in the management of commercial flooring projects. The Program provides video training modules led by experts who speak from years of floor covering experience. Paired with assessments, the modules enhance the qualified flooring professional’s core skill set, experience and knowledge base necessary to successfully manage commercial flooring projects. Individuals who reach this level of expertise will be easily distinguished by their Certified Installation Manager (CIM) designation. Launched in 2015, this certification program has graduated over 300 installation managers.
