FCICA Announces Recipient of CIM Scholarship, Sponsored by Tarkett

FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, in cooperation with Tarkett, is pleased to announce a Tarkett sponsored Certified Installation Manager Program (CIM) scholarship was awarded to Ben Lyke, Project Manager, Lansing Tile and Mosaic in Lansing, MI.

This CIM scholarship was initiated at the 2023 Annual Convention and Commercial Flooring Trade Show held March 27-29 in Tucson, AZ in honor of Keynote Speaker, Rusty Joyce. Mr. Joyce, President, Tarkett Commercial served as the event's Opening Keynote at this annual meeting of commercial flooring professionals.

Recipient, Ben Lyke, is a project manager with Lansing Tile & Mosaic, Inc. where he has worked for 23 years, starting in 2000 as a flooring installer apprentice. Ben studied architecture and computer aided drafting; he became, first, a journeyman flooring installer, then later held roles as foreman and installation manager. He is proficient in the installation of all types of soft surface, resilient and hard surface commercial flooring – including wall tile and large format tile installations. Mr. Lyke expressed how the CIM Program training will allow for "continued growth within the industry and further lead my team to success."

The scholarship covers the cost of the full Certified Installation Manager (CIM) Program including application, content and assessment fees, a value of $1,225.
