FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, is pleased to announce it has opened registration for the 2024 Spring Mid-Year Meeting (MYM), hosted at the Dalton Convention Center in Dalton, GA, March 11 - 13.

Originally held in the fall, this Spring Mid-Year offers 2 1/2 full days of exceptional education sessions, product demos, plant tours, industry networking and knowledge sharing in Dalton, a region known for the flooring industry and dubbed the 'Carpet Capital of the World'.

The 2 1/2 day Meeting offers four engaging educational sessions interspersed with opportunities to network, conduct business and contribute to Association committee meetings. The event also features product demos from our members and two manufacturer plant tours hosted by Mohawk and Shaw Industries where contractors will be introduced to the companies' designs, products and manufacturing processes. With the meeting's focus on education, the four educational sessions presented by industry experts will include:

• The Evolution of Estimating
• Recycling in the Flooring Industry – How it's Done
• Recruiting and Retaining the Next Generation of Flooring Professionals
• Dead Level Floors - Learn How to Go From Flat and Smooth to Dead Level

The event schedule is expanded this year. Attendees are encouraged to arrive Early Monday morning to attend the Monday education sessions that afternoon starting at 3 pm. Monday's schedule includes two education sessions at 3 pm and 4 pm followed by the opening kick-off reception that evening. Tuesday's schedule will include the opening keynote speaker, two more educational sessions, product demos and an evening dinner reception. For Wednesday's schedule, contractors are invited on two plant tours. The MYM concludes Wednesday evening with a closing reception.  

FCICA is also pleased to share, its popular 2 Days to CIM training event will precede the MYM. 2 Days to CIM Dalton will be conducted Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10, 8:00 - 6 PM. Earn your Certified Installation Manager (CIM) designation by registering for this 2 day intensive approach to this flooring project management training. 

Current CIM attendees working on their Certified Installation Manager CEUs will receive credits for full attendance to educational sessions, product demonstrations and plant tours.
