FCICA Holds 2 Days to CIM Training Event in Dalton, GA

FCICA is excited to share it held a successful 2 Days to CIM training event in Dalton, GA. 

FCICA held the 2 day in-person Certified Installation Manager training at the Hilton Garden Inn Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11, the two days preceding the 2024 Spring Mid-Year Meeting, which kicked off Monday afternoon, March 11. 


8 flooring professionals participated in the 2 Days to CIM training to become newly designated CIMs – Certified Flooring Managers. Don Styka, CIM, Tarkett, served as mentor. 2 Days to CIM Dalton provided the candidates a supportive, in-person group learning experience and professional industry camaraderie. 


FCICA is pleased to congratulate its newest CIMs. The following  professionals completed their Certified Installation Manager (CIM) training:

The next in person CIM training event is 2 Days to CIM Carlstadt, Wednesday-Thursday, April 10-11, hosted by member, Michael Halebian & Company. The Regional Meeting Carlstadt will follow on Friday, April 12. Participation in the Regional Meeting is free and open to all flooring professionals. Registration is open for both events. 

FCICA is interested in holding additional 2 Days to CIM training events and Regional Meetings in 2024. If you are interested in participating or hosting one of these events at your facility, please contact Catherine Church, FCICA Executive Director. 


About the Certified Installation Manager (CIM) Program - The CIM Program is the only certification program available for floor covering installation project managers. It sets the industry standard for those involved in the management of commercial flooring projects. The Program provides video training modules led by experts who speak from years of floor covering experience. Paired with assessments, the modules enhance the qualified flooring professional’s core skill set, experience and knowledge base necessary to successfully manage commercial flooring projects. Individuals who reach this level of expertise will be easily distinguished by their Certified Installation Manager (CIM) designation. Launched in 2015, this certification program has graduated over 375 installation managers.
