FCICA is excited to share it held a successful 2 Days to CIM training event and a Regional Meeting in Baltimore, MD.

FCICA contractor member Fishman Flooring Solutions served as host to 2 Days to CIM Baltimore, Wednesday and Thursday, October 25 - 26, followed by the Regional Meeting Baltimore, a one-day educational and networking event Friday, October 27.

7 flooring professionals participated in the 2 Days to CIM training to become newly designated CIMs – Certified Flooring Managers. Program mentors, Mike Newberry, CIM, FloorMax and Huseyin Koca, CIM, Partner Flooring, led the training.

2 Days to CIM Baltimore provided the CIM Candidates a supportive, in-person group learning experience and professional industry camaraderie. At the conclusion of the first day of training, candidates were invited by Fishman Flooring Solutions to a group dinner at a local restaurant to socialize and network.

FCICA is pleased to congratulate its newest CIMs. The following professionals completed their Certified Installation Manager (CIM) training:

FCICA is very grateful to Fishman Flooring Solutions for hosting these events and to their team for their time, support and commitment to FCICA and the CIM Program. Their leadership team was instrumental in the coordination of the Regional Meeting Baltimore. The facilities provided an ideal space to conduct the CIM training as well as host the Regional Meeting Baltimore. FCICA also extends its thanks to ARDEX Americas, MAPEI Corporation, Novalis Innovative Flooring and TRAXX Corporation representatives for sharing their products, expertise and knowledge through the session presentation and demonstrations.

FCICA initiated the regional meetings to connect with contractors and flooring professionals on a local level to provide learning opportunities, networking and share how to leverage membership benefits. The meetings are part of the organization's regional outreach efforts to engage current members and introduce the association to nonmembers. The Regional Meeting Baltimore was the 5th outreach initiative held. Previous meetings were held in Suwanee, GA (August 2023), Wayland, MI (November 2022), Baltimore, MD (May 2022) and Atlanta, GA (April 2021).

FCICA will hold additional 2 Days to CIM training sessions and Regional Meetings. If you are interested in participating or hosting one of these events at your facility, please contact Catherine Church, FCICA Executive Director.
