FCICA to Host Regional Meeting in Carlstadt, NJ

FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, is excited to announce it will host a regional event offering education and networking for commercial flooring contractors in Carlstadt, NJ.

Commercial flooring contractors and all flooring professionals, regardless of membership in FCICA, are invited to meet in-person at Michael Halebian & Company, Regional Meeting host, for a one-day event, Friday, April 12, 8:45 am - 3 pm ET at their headquarters located at 700 Gotham Parkway, Carlstadt, NJ 07072. 

The event provides an opportunity for commercial flooring contractors to network, discuss industry topics, learn from one another and hear how they can leverage FCICA member benefits to advance training, certification and business development. Registration is open for this upcoming free event. A complimentary lunch will be served. 

The Regional Meeting Carlstadt (NJ) is the 7th such meeting FCICA has held. Previous regional meetings were held in Stockton, CA (February 2024), Baltimore, MD (October 2023), Suwanee, GA (August 2023), Wayland, MI (November 2022), Baltimore, MD (May 2022), Atlanta, GA (April 2021). The meetings are part of FCICA’s regional outreach effort to engage current members and introduce the association to nonmembers.

Education Session: Polishing Concrete and Concrete Overlays

Presented by Kevin Manning, District Sales Manager, NY Metro and Craig Morris, Surfaces Manager, Northeast, ARDEX Americas

The ARDEX team will present Polishing Concrete and Concrete Overlays, an AIA credited presentation. Learn the correct procedure to polish concrete floors, an increasingly popular flooring choice.

Maxxon Product Presentation Demo

Presented by Fred Scevoli, Commercial Sales Manager-Northeast, Maxxon

In this product demo, Fred will demonstrate 3 products from the Maxxon Commercial line including Commercial Unglued & Unset materials, Commercial Isolate and the “new” Skim Fill Patching Compound. Attendees will learn the features, benefits, how each product is used, as well as more about Maxxon, their products and systems for the industry.

Floor Preparation for Successful Resilient Floor Installation Presentation

Presented by Don Styka, CIM, Director of Field Services and Lou Soscia, Tarkett 

This presentation will cover proper floor preparation procedures to ensure a successful installation of resilient floor coverings including identification of the requirements of the flooring materials, adhesives, use of the space, moisture testing, remediation and selection and installation of floor patching and self-leveling materials.
