FCICA to Host Regional Meeting in Stockton, CA

FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, is excited to announce it will host a regional event offering education and networking for commercial flooring contractors in Stockton, CA.

Commercial flooring contractors, regardless of membership in FCICA, are invited to meet in-person at ARDEX Americas on Friday, February 16, 2024 for a one-day event, 8:45 am - 3 pm PT.

The event will provide an opportunity for commercial flooring contractors to network, discuss industry topics, learn from one another and hear how they can leverage FCICA member benefits to advance training, certification and business development. Registration is FREE to attend - early registration is encouraged.

The Importance of Jobsite Climate Intelligence, Floorcloud Product Demonstration

Presented by Scott Banda, President and Co-Founder, Floorcloud

The Floorcloud team will demonstrate how important jobsite climate intelligence is to protecting your installations and ultimately, the profitability of your business.

Concrete Relative Humidity Testing: Manual to Full Remote Monitoring, Wagner Meters Product Demonstration

Presented by Jason Spangler, Flooring Division Mgr/Technical Contact, Wagner Meters

The demonstration will show proper moisture testing in accordance with ASTM F 2170 and the use of Wagner Meters equipment.

Moisture in Concrete – Problems, Sources, Measurement and Control

Presented by Terry Hall, Technical Field Representative,  ARDEX Americas

This presentation will cover problems with moisture in concrete, sources of moisture in concrete, testing of   moisture in concrete as well as the different ways to remediate moisture in concrete.

ARDEX MC RAPID and ARDEX VB 100 Product Demonstrations 

Presented by Terry Hall, Technical Field Representative, ARDEX Americas

 These demonstrations will show proper application of ARDEX MC RAPID and ARDEX VB 100., as well as their   features and benefits of the products will be discussed.

Floor Preparation for Successful Resilient Floor Installation 

Presented by Don Styka, CIM, Director of Field Services, Tarkett

This presentation will cover proper floor preparation procedures to ensure a successful installation of resilient floor coverings including identification of the requirements of the flooring materials and adhesives. use of the space, moisture testing and remediation, and selection and installation of floor patching and self-leveling materials.

The Regional Meeting Stockton, CA is the 6th such meeting FCICA has held. Previous regional meetings were held in Baltimore, MD (October 2023), Wayland, MI (November 2022), Baltimore, MD (May 2022), Atlanta, GA (April 2021), Suwanee, GA (August 2023). The meetings are part of FCICA’s regional outreach efforts to engage current members and introduce the association to nonmembers.

The meeting is generously hosted by ARDEX Americas.
